The main feature of Senior Link is it's comprehensive database of all New Zealand resthomes, retirement villages, and hospitals which care for the elderly. Visitors to the site are able to search on a wide range of options, including location, types of care, facilities and features offered. The managers or staff of each complex are able to log in to an administration area to keep their information up to date. The site automatically emails complexes to remind them to check or update their information when it is more than a few weeks old.
